Arianna - Physical Therapist

Arianna "Ari" Martinez was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and raised in North County San Diego. She has participated in a variety of sports growing up, which is what first brought her to ProActive PT as a patient in 2008. She tore her MCL playing basketball and received excellent care at ProActive PT Carlsbad. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from California State University, San Marcos where she was a student-athlete on the cross-country and track teams. While in college, she also worked as a physical therapy aide "exercise specialist" for Proactive PT from 2015-2017 which helped solidify her desire to become a clinician. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, CA. She spent 3 years working in outpatient orthopedics prior to re-joining the ProActive PT team as a licensed clinician. She is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). She enjoys helping her patients get back to participating in activities/ sports that they love. In her spare time, Arianna enjoys being active and participating in fitness classes, snowboarding in the winter and spending time with her family and friends.
